The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Introduced by Poppy Glasspool, year 7 pupil at Gwernyfed High School

I love this book because the storyline is fast paced and unexpected. Every page is so easy to read that before you know it, you’ve read five chapters. I was hooked from the beginning and each time I read it now, I still love it. There are two other books in the series, Catching Fire and Mockingjay, I love them all. I wish there were more books in the series, just because I love them so much!

There are a few main characters; they are Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, Gale Hawthorne and Primrose (Prim) Everdeen. They all play a vital role in the story. I think that anyone could relate to a character in The Hunger Games, they are all so different that there should be at least one!

I am obsessed with these books and I’m sure anyone reading them will be too. Suzanne Collins is by far one of my favourite authors and I hope that after reading this book, she could be anyone’s favourite author as well.
